New year. New challenges. More kindness.

I got the loom and my brother put it together for me. I have yet to make a decision on the yarn I should use for my first weave. It's a little intimidating. I won two count em two yarn contests one from Plymouth yarns and one from Kristy glass knits + noble character crafts. To those people if your reading this I am genuinely grateful. I have started a bullet journal. I have January ready with habit trackers and goals. You know the usual stuff you put in a bullet journal. I also put in my year long knitting tracker and weaving tracker.  I got my yarn stash under control uh I mean organized. I will be attending a meeting with a friend so I can become a foster for an animal in need at my local shelter. I hope I can make a difference. Anyway gonna spend Friday drinking coffee relaxing and knitting and maybe just maybe I'll finally decide on yarn for my first weave.

In the throws of the Christmas spirit we decorated the house for the holidays. We have yet to do the tree but we have everything else up. I had to go backward on my knitting and frog a little bit because I wasn't reading the pattern. lesson learned. I have started Christmas shopping. I won't go into details but I am making most of my presents to give this year. I started crocheting again and it reminds me of my grandma. She first taught me how she didn't know a thing about knitting but she could crochet really well. I have no idea what else I should write about. So if there is anyone out there actually reading this I would love some input. I was thinking I should do a project once a week or at least follow along with another blogger. like moogly or sew can she or something like that. I also want to do craft book reviews, craft tool reviews and the like. Tell me what you would like to see me write about.

It's all about the gift knitting.

I've got at least four projects going and wishing for Christmas to get a loom. I have two people done on my gift list but I am waiting on Christmas wish lists for more information. I honestly don't know if I am going to finish in time the scarf I am knitting for my mother. I have drop spindles and fiber maybe I'll just give it a whirl(see what I did there). Wondering what everyone else is making for Christmas. Anyhow hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving.

It's snowing. Well it is that time of year. I love it when it snows I just don't love trying to drive in it. So today is a day to stay in and knit on some Christmas presents. I haven't learned to spin yet that is still on my list and so is weaving. I have decided that until I get a job I'm gonna volunteer at the animal shelter. I even finished the orientation. They also have an option where you can make the homeless cats blankets. So I want to do that too. I also found a pattern on Ravelry for paw warmers for when they go into surgery. I don't know if I am going to try that but it sounds promising. Happy Snow Day!

I suppose I should write a little about myself. I grew up in Washington state. Still live there. I am a Christian and a knitter. I would love to learn a new language and how to spin yarn. I will be volunteering at my local animal shelter for a while as I have been out of work for a while now. I love indie dyed yarn and fiber. Just right now I can't afford it. So right now I'm using my stash. My favorite time of year is Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving to remember how grateful I am and Christmas for giving. I love to give presents to people I get a rush from it. I have a knitting group at a church that I attend and am saving up for spinning classes. Thats me. Anyhoo happy knitting all.
